MOLLY OLLYS

A day at the races

May 1, 2026 | News

Warwick Racecourse looked splendid in the sunshine at Molly Ollys raceday on 23rd April.

Our 2026 charity partnership with the racecourse gave us the opportunity to have our very own race meeting, where we raised awareness and funds to support children around the UK with life-threatening illnesses.

This year, we were joined by volunteers from Barclays in Birmingham Snowhill plus Vicky Hayes and colleagues from National Gas corporate headquarters in Warwick. Everyone fitted in so well and felt liked they’d been part of ‘Team Molly Ollys’ for years!!

Our therapeutic mascot, Olly The Brave, had a wonderful time meeting spectators, winning owners and trainers, plus two very generous individuals, Mark and Vanessa who kindly sponsored a race to celebrate Vanessa’s 60th birthday.

Fundraising on the day surpassed the £6,000 mark which was absolutely incredible, so we’d like to thank everyone who donated and look forward to visiting Warwick Racecourse a few more times this year to get the word out about Molly Ollys and the work we do around the UK to support children 0-18 years with life-threatening illnesses.

Hope to see you there…

Every donation, whatever size, helps a seriously unwell child

HELP MAKE WISHES COME TRUE

Current data suggests that 12 children and young people are diagnosed with cancer every day, and that 1,900 children under the age of 14 in the UK are diagnosed each year.

More children are diagnosed with a range of other, often rare, conditions and illnesses that are also life-threatening.

Molly Ollys is committed to helping as many of these children and their families as possible, and works hard to raise the necessary funds to be able to help those who contact us.

You can help us do this by making a donation, joining in with our fundraising events, running your own events, using Give as You Live when you are shopping, and by leaving a legacy in your will. Please visit our How you can help page to find out more.
