Over 30 of our supporters donned their Molly Ollys running tops and took part in the Warwick Half Marathon, raising vital funds and awareness to support children around the UK with life-threatening illnesses.
This year’s 13.1 mile route took runners through some beautiful countryside, from Warwick to Leek Wootton, across to Hatton via Beausale, and finally through Hampton on the Hill back down to the finishing line at Warwick Racecourse.
Many other Molly Olly volunteers were stationed at Warwick Racecouse and at strategic points along the course at designated ‘Cheer Stations’ to give runners maximum support.
Co-founder Rachel Ollerenshaw said: “Molly Ollys was delighted to be the chosen charity for the Warwick Half Marathon for the second year running. There were nearly 40 runners in their pink tops raising funds and awareness. Olly the Brave was a big hit at the racecourse, helping to cheer everyone on and Team Molly Ollys were out in force along the course and at the finish. The atmosphere was so uplifting. For many of our runners it was their first half marathon, so it was a big achievement and we’re sincerely grateful to everybody who took part for Molly Ollys.”
