Molly Ollys Grand Ball Raises over £90k

Jan 20, 2025 | News

Our 2024 Molly Ollys Ball was a very grand affair! Held at the Grand hotel in Birmingham, we had so many of our friends, supporters and volunteers join us for an evening of glitz and glamour whilst raising money to help us continue our work for children with life-threatening illnesses.

It was a night to remember with co-founder, Tim Ollerenshaw, as compere for the evening taking us through the activities of the evening, including the silent and live auctions. The generosity of our guests was incredibly moving, and we managed to raise over £90,000 throughout the evening!

We would like to thank the Principal, Claudia and the children at Viva Theatre Arts for providing a “Peaky Blinders” dance routine as entertainment for our guests, in keeping with our Birmingham theme. It was a spectacular show! Furthermore, we would like to thank the Gold Mirror Men from Evolve Entertainment for adding some sparkle to our evening.

This year’s ball would not be possible without the sponsorship of our long-term supporters, SCC and The Rigby Foundation. We would also like to thank Oakland International and New Horizon Logistics for their support for so many years in many different ways.

We are hugely grateful to a number of individuals and organisations who donate their services, funds and gifts as well as their time. The Molly Ollys ball is a hugely important fundraising event in our calendar, and we are so grateful to all of our guests for helping us reach the grand total of over £90,000.

Every donation, whatever size, helps a seriously unwell child

HELP MAKE WISHES COME TRUE

Current data suggests that 12 children and young people are diagnosed with cancer every day, and that 1,900 children under the age of 14 in the UK are diagnosed each year.

More children are diagnosed with a range of other, often rare, conditions and illnesses that are also life-threatening.

Molly Ollys is committed to helping as many of these children and their families as possible, and works hard to raise the necessary funds to be able to help those who contact us.

You can help us do this by making a donation, joining in with our fundraising events, running your own events, using Give as You Live when you are shopping, and by leaving a legacy in your will. Please visit our How you can help page to find out more.
