The Openwork Foundation donates £15K to Molly Ollys

Aug 8, 2022 | News

Molly Ollys is delighted to have been awarded a £15K grant from The Openwork Foundation. The money will make a huge difference to us at Molly Ollys, as we continue to emotionally support children with life-threatening illnesses across the UK.

The funding will be used to help at least 30 children who’re facing terrifying health challenges, as each wish we deliver costs around £500 each. Over the years we’ve been going, we’ve helped more than 16,000 children and has donated more than 2,500 wishes.
Molly Ollys founder, Rachel; ‘We are thrilled to have been awarded this grant by The Openwork Foundation. The children we help have extremely serious conditions and it means everything to be able to put smiles on their faces. With this money, we can support many more children and create happy memories for them and their families.’
The Foundation has donated more than £20 million over the years and in 2021, it awarded £543,560 in grants to 69 UK registered charities operating here and overseas.
Leam Financial Services is part of the network and Partner Gautum Mehra acted as a sponsor for Molly Ollys when we applied for the grant. He said; ‘We are very proud to be part of The Openwork Foundation which does such important work. We believe that we can all make a difference – and our approach to our corporate social responsibility helps us all deliver that difference as fully and as wholeheartedly as we can. Molly Ollys does such vital work and we’re delighted to be able to support them.’

HELP MAKE WISHES COME TRUE

Current data suggests that 12 children and young people are diagnosed with cancer every day, and that 1,900 children under the age of 14 in the UK are diagnosed each year.

More children are diagnosed with a range of other, often rare, conditions and illnesses that are also life-threatening.

Molly Ollys is committed to helping as many of these children and their families as possible, and works hard to raise the necessary funds to be able to help those who contact us.

You can help us do this by making a donation, joining in with our fundraising events, running your own events, using Give as You Live when you are shopping, and by leaving a legacy in your will. Please visit our How you can help page to find out more.
