DESCRIPTION:Last few places remaining!\nIf you are interested in joining us for three days of cycling and comradeship to support children with life-threatening illnesses\, please email sue@mollyolly.co.uk without delay!\nFollowing the huge success of our previous cycle rides\, we are now excitedly planning the 2025 ride. This will follow a similar format to previous years\, being held over three days from Friday 27th to Sunday 29th June 2025\, and we plan to cycle approximately 200 miles from Great Yarmouth to Warwick. As in previous years we will travel to our start point in Great Yarmouth on the afternoon of Thursday 26th June. Friday and Saturday will involve approximately 80 miles cycling each day whereas Sunday is a shorter day of approximately 40 miles to ensure that we arrive back in good time to an enthusiastic welcome from friends and family. \nThis is a fun event\, but most importantly a fundraising event to raise money for Molly Ollys to help children with life-threatening illnesses or conditions\, so we do ask that participants each raise a minimum of £500. This money makes a huge difference to the Charity’s ability to help these children and their families. The requests to us for help continue to increase and we know from feedback that everything we do for these children and their families\, which only happens with the support of people like yourselves\, is massively valued. \nMolly Ollys organises the route\, the accommodation and meals\, transport to Great Yarmouth and all of the behind the scenes and during the event support for the ride\, so that cyclists are well looked after during the event. All we ask of you is that you are fit enough to cycle this distance over the three days\, that you raise at least £500 and that you contribute to the event costs by paying a participant fee of £450. \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:Book your place on one of the most beautiful hikes in the Malvern Hills to explore the Malvern Ridge from end to end. To the south west\, the gentle hills of the Cotswolds roll into the distance\, whilst to the west the hills of Herefordshire are backed by distant Welsh mountains. Adorning the summit is a toposcope\, which allows you to match the landmarks to their names\, as well as a memorial to Queen Victoria and the obligatory trig-pillar. The Malvern Hills is one of the smaller AONBs\, about 20km in length and 9km at its widest point. \nWalks in the Malvern Hills are not just about summits and views\, there is also a great deal of historic interest such as former sites of Iron Age forts and once you have finished exploring\, quaint local cafes and pubs await for well-earned refreshments where you can relax after your hike. DESCRIPTION:Join the Molly Olly Team at the Warwick Half Marathon to help children with life-threatening and terminal illnesses and conditions! \nMolly Ollys is based in Warwick and is planning on painting the town pink for the event! Put on your running shoes and join the team to run round the iconic Warwick Castle and the surrounding area and be part of the sea of pink shirts! \nWhy we need your help \nOver the last year\, we have received over 20% more wish applications than in the previous year as the number of children diagnosed increases\, and more families need support because of the economic conditions. This year we are expecting to provide over 600 wishes. We receive no government or council funding and are dependent on the goodwill of the public for our fundraising. Wishes have an average value of £500 each\, and the increase in numbers means that we need to raise an additional £50\,000 just to cover the extra wishes requested.  Approximately 10 children per day in the UK are diagnosed with cancer giving 3\,755 new cases each year (2021 data)\, and more being told that they have a different life-threatening illness or condition\, there are many children and families without support during extremely challenging times. DESCRIPTION:The 2024 Stratford Rotary Club Shakespeare Marathon and Half-Marathon will be held on Sunday 21st April. This well-established road closed event\, follows a flat and fast route mainly on closed roads around the town\, with the remainder on the Stratford Greenway footpath\, which is a hard compact footpath\, ideal for pb running! The route heads from the town centre\, past the racecourse\, into Luddington & Welford-on-Avon before joining the Stratford Greenway back into Stratford-upon-Avon. The half marathon will head into the Recreation Ground from there. The marathon will complete a 2nd\, extended loop\, which also heads through Long Marston\, before returning to the Recreation Ground for the finish. \nRun for Molly Ollys and we’ll give you our support and one of our running vests.
