SUMMARY:Shakespeare Marathon and Half-Marathon
DESCRIPTION:The 2024 Stratford Rotary Club Shakespeare Marathon and Half-Marathon will be held on Sunday 21st April. This well-established road closed event\, follows a flat and fast route mainly on closed roads around the town\, with the remainder on the Stratford Greenway footpath\, which is a hard compact footpath\, ideal for pb running! The route heads from the town centre\, past the racecourse\, into Luddington & Welford-on-Avon before joining the Stratford Greenway back into Stratford-upon-Avon. The half marathon will head into the Recreation Ground from there. The marathon will complete a 2nd\, extended loop\, which also heads through Long Marston\, before returning to the Recreation Ground for the finish. \nRun for Molly Ollys and we’ll give you our support and one of our running vests. And you’ll know that you are helping to make the dark days brighter for children in the UK with life-threatening illnesses – register for one of our charity places for £20 (plus 0.80p booking fee) and pledge to raise at least £350 for Molly Ollys in sponsorship money. We know that the cost of living is very high for many people and we have intentionally set the minimum sponsorship level low – all funds you can raise will be much appeciated and extremely helpful for those we support. Thinking about how tough life is for these children and their families will spur you on!
